DiPaCre is pleased to report on the progress of our latest project meeting from 12th of June, 2024 where we met all the partners and delved into the survey results and embarked on the next phase of our Empowering Senior Musicians project. This project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union (Project ID: 2023-1-BG01-KA210-ADU-000152921), continues to make significant strides towards supporting senior musicians in the digital age.

During the meeting, we thoroughly discussed the findings from our recent survey, which gathered insights from 43 senior musicians across Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, and Turkey. The survey revealed critical data about the digital competencies and educational needs of senior musicians, providing a solid foundation for our next steps.

Building on these insights, we have commenced work on developing comprehensive recommendations and guidelines. This effort is a key component of our broader market research, aimed at identifying existing educational resources available to our target groups and assessing their suitability and accessibility. A particular focus is being placed on open-source resources, which we believe can offer substantial benefits to senior musicians.

Our analysis and research during this phase are geared towards evaluating the current learning opportunities available to senior musicians. By understanding what resources are already out there and how accessible and suitable they are, we can pinpoint gaps that need to be addressed. Our ultimate goal is to develop tailored training resources that will fill these gaps and enhance the digital competencies of senior musicians.

The discussion at the meeting also highlighted the importance of making these resources as accessible as possible, taking into account factors such as language barriers and ease of use. We are committed to ensuring that the training materials we develop during the implementation phase of the project are not only comprehensive but also readily accessible to all members of our target group.

As we move forward, the insights gained from our survey and ongoing research will be instrumental in shaping our educational initiatives. We remain dedicated to empowering senior musicians by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in today’s digital landscape.

Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to advance our project and develop resources that will make a meaningful impact on the lives of senior musicians.

Warm regards, The DiPaCre Team
